) telling the number of posters you can place, as soon as you can!!!
Further information abut the 10th BME International 24-hour Programming Contest :
Between 30th April and 2nd May will the traditional BME International 24-hour Programming Contest be held - for the 10th time, organized by the Electrical Engineering Students' Hungarian Association. Challenge-seeking programmers can enter one of Europe's most prestigious event until 20 February, 2010. The final round will be held on the campus of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).
Breaking with traditions, in honor of the 10th Jubilee Contest, the site can be found at www.challenge24thelegend.com. The organizers’ aim is to create the most prestigious and memorable finals ever, that provides the contestants priceless memories and experiences.
Teams of three have to register on the official website of the contest (http://www.challenge24thelegend.com). Not only students but IT professionals can enter to. The registration is followed by an on-line qualifying round on 27th February. The best 30 teams will be invited to the final, 24-hour-long round that will take place between 30th April-2nd May, 2010 at BME Hungary. The total value of awards exceeds 6000 Euros and the winner can take the Challenge24 Cup, too.
Neither during the qualifying round nor on the on-site contest are there any restrictions concerning the tools, platforms, operating systems or written materials that the contestants can use. In both rounds they can work on their own computers what lets the contestant work in the environment that fits them best. Naturally, usage of external help during the contest is strictly forbidden.
The problem set is created by former finalists, so the contestants can expect interesting but difficult tasks like in the previous years. To solve them they will need various IT skills: knowledge of networking, computer graphics, algorithm theory, artificial intelligence is a great advantage. Of course fast and precise coding, and effective teamwork are essential. (See previous contests: http://challenge24thelegend.com/2010/history)
Traditionally the contestants enter Challenge24 from every part of the world. Last year more than 1000 contestants from 56 countries of 5 continents registered, including many returning competitors.
Anyone can follow the event online on the official website: http://www.challenge24thelegend.com

Application form: http://eestec.net/resources/guides/contact-persons-guide/appendices/appendix-c-application-form/at_download/file More info: http://www.kyykka.fi/international.shtml ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi there! LC Tampere is eager to have some EESTECers to join the fun with us in the Academic Kyykka World Championships. Kyykka is a very old Finnish game, where players try to outplay their opponents with tactics, power, accuracy - and pure luck. The World Championships is a not-so-serious competition where students from all over Finland gather and enjoy the game and especially the atmosphere around it. There will be more than 3000 players in total. Players can e.g. even try to gain more points by bribing the judge. ;) After the games there will be an official Kyykka-party downtown Tampere where winners get their rewards and a front line Finnish band (this year Don Johnson Big Band) performs. Of course you get to know the Tampere University of Technology and the city of Tampere. Tampere's population is 200 000 with 35 000 of that students - a heaven for student life! If you're interested and want more information or want to reserve a place, contact our CP (

After Best Wishes, we are glad and happy to announce our workshop with the topic Green Energy Sources which will be held in İstanbul, Turkey, in the period from February 28th 2010 to March the7th 2010 named GREENERGY. The workshop GREENERGY will be the answer of some questions like What is Renewable Energy?, What are uses of Renewable Energy? and What is The Future of Renewable Energy?. During seminars, trainings and presentations, the aim is to deliver you the answers of these questions as much as possible. Participants who attend to the academical part of this workshop will have enough information about Renewable Energy.
Letar's skip the boring part as fast as possible. Now it is time of the parties and knocking around parts :) This year you will not visit only Istanbul, you will be visiting European Capital of Culture for 2010. As you know Istanbul is a metropolitan with 17 million population and home of beauties, cultural activities, historical places and of course nightlife :-) We will do our best to show and present you all the beauties and historical places which witnessed three biggest empires of the history; Roman, Byzantium and Ottoman. Just imagine, how old this city is, how many diversities are included and the synergy of these diversities. As a detail many historical places take a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The coming info is about the most attractive part of our workshop. Night Life Words are not enough to explain Istanbul Night Life, you need to live and feel the atmosphere. We can just say: The parties will mostly be held in Istiklal Avenue which is alive 7/24, , which is full of cafes, bars, nightclubs and entertainment all around. For more information just check out our web page or contact us. Our website (www.eestec. itu.edu.tr) will also be updated soon. If you are curious a little bit, just follow your curiosity. You will leave Istanbul with UNFORGETABLE MEMORIES for sure!!
